Abstract
This article reveals the essence of aesthetic education, its role and significance in the development ofthe individual and society. Aesthetic education is interpreted as the process of forming a person’s ability to perceive the beauty of nature and society, evaluate it correctly, and, on this basis, engage in creative activity. Special attention is paid to the development of aesthetic consciousness, needs, attitudes, and practical activity of the individual. It is shown that aesthetic culture emerges as a result of assimilating the accumulated material and spiritual values of society and developing a creative attitude towards them. The influence of aesthetic potential, interests, and needs on the personal development of students is also analyzed. The article emphasizes the role of such means of aesthetic education as the beauty of nature, everyday aesthetics, music, literature, visual arts, and various forms of artistic activity. The process of aesthetic education is considered an important factor in shaping musical school students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities, enriching their worldview, and fostering creativity and emotional sensitivity. In addition, the article scientifically substantiates the role of aesthetic education in developing moral and ethical qualities in the individual and encouraging the pursuit of beauty in life.
