Abstract
The effectiveness of organizing athletics training sessions largely depends on the professional competence of the coach-teacher. This article examines the multifaceted relationship between the level of professional competence of physical education teachers specialized in athletics and the quality of training organization. Professional competence is defined as an integrative characteristic combining theoretical knowledge, practical skills, pedagogical abilities, and motivational readiness, all essential for effective educational and training processes. The study analyzes key components of professional competence, including methodological skills in planning and conducting training, diagnostic abilities for assessing athletes’ physical condition, and communicative competencies to motivate and engage students. Special attention is paid to the impact of these competencies on ensuring safety, fostering motivation, and adapting training to individual student needs.
